Sometimes you feel happy,
Sometimes you feel blue,
Sometimes there are so many thoughts
You don’t know what to do.
Sometimes your heart feels heavy,
Sometimes you’re angry too,
Sometimes you have a little worry
That keeps following you.
And sometimes you just need someone
Who’ll listen, care, and stay—
Someone who won’t judge your feelings
Or tell them to go away.
A counsellor can be that someone,
A safe and quiet place,
Where you can talk about your feelings
At your own gentle pace.
You can laugh, you can wonder,
You can cry or simply be.
There’s no “right” way to feel here—
You are welcome, just as you are.
So if your thoughts feel tangled,
Or something’s hard to say,
You don’t have to carry everything
All by yourself each day.
Talking doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means you’re learning too—
About your heart, your feelings,
And the wonderful person that is you.
