You don’t have to arrive
with the right words.
You can arrive with a sigh.
With silence.
With a story you’ve told yourself
a hundred times
but never quite understood.
You can say,
“I don’t know.”
“I’m scared.”
“I’m angry.”
“I don’t want to talk about that yet.”
And that’s okay.
Here, you don’t have to be
the strong one.
The good one.
The one who has it together.
You can simply be
the person sitting in the room.
And perhaps, slowly,
you begin to notice—
I can breathe here.
I can pause here.
I can say what I really mean.
I can set a boundary
without apologising for it.
I can change my mind.
I can ask for what I need.
I can let someone see
the parts of me
I usually keep hidden.
And nothing has to be rushed.
Trust can take time.
Safety can take time.
Opening up can take time.
And perhaps that is where
healing quietly begins:
Not when you have
everything figured out,
but when you finally feel
you don't have to figure it out
all by yourself.
Take that one step.......
